merupakan kata kerja bantu (auxiliary) yang terdapat dalam suatu
kalimat.

menyatakan peristiwa yang akan terjadi di waktu yang akan datang. Contoh : it
will rain soon.
2. Shall

future (menyatakan peristiwa yang akan datang).
3. Must/has
to/have to
Keharusan.
Contoh
: you must go to hospital
4. Ought
to
Menyatakan
keharusan.
Contoh
: Rino ought to study hard before final test.
5. Can
Menyatakan
kesanggupan.
Contoh
: he can swimming.
6. May
Menyatakan
kemungkinan sekarang.
Contoh:
he is absent. He may be sick.
